Dr. Herron is Leaving Genesee Valley Obstetrics & Gynecology

One of our OB/GYN specialists, Dr. Kelly Herron, will be leaving the practice at the start of the new year to pursue a career in Integrative Medicine. She will remain in the Rochester area, but will no longer be practicing in obstetrics & gynecology.

Other providers within our practice will be available to provide care for Dr. Herron’s patients.

A note from Dr. Herron,

“I will be leaving GVOG, and the practice of obstetrics and gynecology on December 21,2018.  Although leaving all of you saddens me, I am ecstatic to be able to provide a different path to wellness.  I am establishing my own Integrative/Functional medicine practice.    For those of you not familiar with this type of medicine, it entails treating the whole woman: body, mind, and spirit.  It requires a joint effort between provider and patient to determine the root cause of symptoms and help reverse changes using diet, lifestyle, exercise, mind-body techniques, minimizing toxic exposures, natural products, as well as traditional medicine.

This decision follows my recent graduation from Dr Andrew Weil’s two year Integrative Medicine Fellowship, leading to board certification early next year.  I also continue to study Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).

I have been honored over the last ten years at GVOG to get to know so many amazing women.  The opportunity to walk with each of you through a portion of your life has been a tremendous gift to me.  I now leave your ob/gyn care in the hands of the wonderful doctors and Nurse Practitioners at GVOG.

I wish you all, wellness and happiness.”

-Kelly Herron, MD
